Traffic control on Highway 33 begins May 13 in Kern County

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has announced that one-way traffic control will be implemented on Highway 33 starting Tuesday, May 13, in Kern County. This measure is necessary for the installation of a culvert.

The traffic control will be in place at Lokern Road and will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until the project is completed. The expected completion date is June 20, 2025.
