Pedestrian killed in alleged DUI crash on East California Ave

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man walking across East California Avenue on Friday evening died after being hit by two vehicles — one driven by a suspected drunken driver, according to Bakersfield Police Department.

The man was hit at about 8:53 p.m. in the 700 block of East California Avenue, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
