BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department arrested four drivers for allegedly driving under the influence, cited 33 drivers, and impounded 25 vehicles in a DUI and license checkpoint last Friday, said officials.
BPD’s Traffic Unit held the checkpoint in the 1400 block of Union Avenue from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., and screened a total of 1,204 vehicles. Fourteen drivers were detained to determine their sobriety levels, and four were arrested. Two of the drivers had previous DUI convictions.
