BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 29-year-old man convicted of multiple felony counts in connection to a home invasion robbery in which he and his brother held the family of a pawn shop owner hostage has been granted parole.
A panel of the state Board of Parole Hearings granted Vicente Guizar-Figueroa parole on Tuesday, finding he no longer posed an “unreasonable risk” and noting his efforts to deal with substance abuse and anger issues, according to a release from the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.
