BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who faced a charge of first-degree murder in a shooting that killed a 10-year-old girl in Arvin has accepted a plea deal that will send him to prison for decades, according to prosecutors and court records.
Jesus Everardo Rodriguez pleaded no contest Tuesday to charges of voluntary manslaughter, shooting at an occupied motor vehicle and carrying a loaded gun without registration in exchange for a sentence of 33 years and four months.
