Man identified after being struck, killed by train in east Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 59-year-old man’s identity has been released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office after he was killed by a train on May 17.

William Loyal Hattabaugh Jr., 59, of Bakersfield, was fatally hit by a train at Morning Drive and Edison Highway May 17, according to the coroner. Hattabaugh Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
