BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer announced the sentencing of two men involved in a significant homicide case.
Danny Willis, who pled no contest to one count of first-degree murder and admitted a gang allegation, was sentenced to 35 years to life for his role in a 2017 shooting that killed 50-year-old Edwin Smith and injured four others.
