BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A woman who pleaded no contest to a felony assault charge after being accused of intentionally hitting her boyfriend with a car was sentenced Friday to three years in prison, according to court records.
Valerie Justine Peralta, 38, pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon other than a gun, records show. Three other felony counts were dismissed.
Police were called to the 1200 block of El Sereno Drive in central Bakersfield early on March 31 to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian.
