BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 4-year-old girl with a rare condition and living in Bakersfield has been granted humanitarian parole allowing her to stay in the U.S., according to a letter from the Department of Homeland Security.
The 4-year-old girl made national news in recent weeks following her mother’s request for their humanitarian parole to be extended due to the girl, referred to as “Sofia,” needing life-saving treatment.
