Man crashed into tree before being struck by another car on Sunday: BPD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man died after being struck by a vehicle in west Bakersfield on Sunday night, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

On June 8 at around 11:14 p.m., Bakersfield police officers responded to Old River Road and White Oak Drive for a vehicle versus pedestrian collision, according to officials.

According to investigators, a silver Infiniti coupe was traveling south on Old River Road when it veered from the roadway and crashed into a tree on the median. The man inside the Infiniti exited the car and walked into the southbound lanes of Old River Road.
