California police share how thieves easily steal GMC Sierra trucks
Police officers in Bakersfield, California are warning truck owners about an increase in thefts. In particular, the GMC Sierra is being targeted as thieves hack a security system.
An undercover officer shared that criminals are using auto-diagnostic tools to start the trucks. Then they disconnect the OnStar systems so they can’t be tracked. The Chevrolet Silverado is also equipped with OnStar tech.
