BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — An underage suspect was arrested in relation to a shooting that killed a man on Stockdale Highway on Friday, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
On Friday at 11:57 p.m., Bakersfield police officers responded to reports of an unknown situation in the 5600 block of Stockdale Highway, police said. Officers were in the area and heard multiple gunshots.
Officers arrived at the scene and saw a minor suspect fleeing the scene, according to BPD. They also found a man suffering from a gunshot wound nearby.
