Woman pleads not guilty in deadly Oildale mobile home fire case

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Nicole Taylor, the woman accused of starting a fatal mobile home fire in Oildale last month appeared in court Monday. The fire, which happened on May 31, claimed the life of 52-year-old Amber Wimberly and two dogs when a trailer on State Road caught fire.

Arson investigators arrested Taylor, a 34-year-old homeless woman, in connection with the blaze.

She has pleaded not guilty to four felony counts, including first-degree murder and arson. Taylor is currently being held without bail.
