Kern County Sheriff’s Office releases body-worn camera video of shooting that wounded 3, including deputy

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office released a video report of an incident in May in east Bakersfield where a man allegedly pointed and fired a weapon at responding deputies who fired back. Three people, including a deputy, were wounded in the incident.

Sadi Geovani Diaz, 45, was wounded and arrested after sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a woman who had been shot. The woman was hiding from the suspect attempting to enter her home, according to KCSO.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office released an edited Critical Incident report video of the May 9 incident on Monday. The video includes audio of the 911 call with a victim and dispatcher and body-worn camera footage from responding deputies.
