BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Veronica Santos sometimes wonders what her niece would be like if she was alive today, if the 10-year-old hadn’t died in a flurry of bullets fired in a drive-by shooting in Arvin.
In court Wednesday for the sentencing of Jesus Everardo Rodriguez — driver of the vehicle from which the shots were fired — Santos said nothing can change the facts: Liliana Jimenez remains dead, her family suffering.
