Kern County sees continued decline in unemployment rate

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The unemployment rate in Kern County has continued to decline for two months in a row, according to a new report by the California Employment Development Department.

The unemployment rate for the month of May in Kern County was 8.7%, marking a 0.3% decline from the revised rate of 9% in April, the report shows.
