Bakersfield PD remembers Sgt killed in the line of duty in 1980

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is remembering one of its own who died in the line of duty in 1980.

Sergeant Patrick D. Vegas was responding to a crash when a vehicle collided with his motorcycle on June 20, 1980, according to police officials.
