BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County Sheriff’s deputies are actively investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old over the weekend in east Bakersfield.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a peace disturbance on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at around 12:30 a.m., in the 3200 block of Pesante Road. Upon arrival, they discovered that a shooting had happened.
