Man with prior strike conviction found guilty of threatening girlfriend

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — After an altercation with her boyfriend in September 2023, a woman fled with her juvenile son to a friend’s home and called 911.

The boyfriend, Jose Duran, tracked her down and parked outside. He made several calls, one of which was recorded and which his girlfriend construed as a threat to open fire on the home, according to a release from the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.
