BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Five Los Angeles residents were arrested this week for alleged EBT fraud in Kern County and other areas, prosecutors said.
Camelia Ionita, 41, Vasile Barbu, 44, Briceag Ionita, 49, and two juveniles were taken into custody Wednesday in Fresno, according to a Kern County District Attorney’s Office release. A total of 181 cloned EBT cards and $42,866 in cash were seized, as well as electronic devices used to commit the fraud, prosecutors said.
