DELANO, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — On Monday night, the Delano Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 2300 block of Quincy Street. Officers arriving at the scene heard additional shots and were directed to a nearby residence on Rounds Street. There, they discovered several spent shell casings outside.
The sole occupant of the residence, 20-year-old Angel Herrera, was contacted by officers. Observations at the scene led officers to believe there was evidence inside the home related to the shooting, said officials. Detectives obtained a search warrant and recovered an unregistered Glock 19 handgun with an extended magazine, a Springfield 1911 handgun, and over 100 rounds of ammunition.
Herrera was arrested on multiple firearm-related charges, including negligent discharge of a firearm. No injuries or property damage were reported…
