BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Police say one person has died and two others — including the suspect — were hurt in an assault early Saturday in southwest Bakersfield.
Shortly before 5 a.m., officers were called to the 6400 block of Springtime Court where they found two victims, one seriously injured, according to a Bakersfield Police Department release. They also found an injured suspect, who was continuing to harm themself, police said.

Non-lethal force was used to take the suspect into custody.
