Elevate Apartments offer affordable housing, paths for residents to enter more permanent housing

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — It’s no secret that the cost of living is skyrocketing across the state of California. In Kern County, there are new efforts to make sure housing is accessible to all. One answer is the Elevate Apartments in downtown Bakersfield.

On its grand opening, it’s a new chapter for affordable housing in Kern County.

The Elevate Complex is a first-of-it’s-kind, 126-unit apartment building just off the corner of 30th and F streets in downtown Bakersfield.
