Mother charged in hot car death scheduled for hearing Tuesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Maya Hernandez, charged with involuntary manslaughter after her 1-year-old son died after being left in a hot car in Bakersfield, is due in court Tuesday morning for a hearing at which the prosecution is seeking to alter the charges against her.

Prosecutors have filed a motion to amend the complaint against Hernandez and charge her with murder.
