DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint results in arrests, citations, and vehicle impoundments

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department released results from the latest DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on July 11th and saturation.

Bakersfield police said the checkpoint was at the intersection of Anita Lane and Ming Avenue, east of Valley Plaza Mall, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Police said 1,041 vehicles were screened at the checkpoint. During the checkpoint, one driver was cited for driving while unlicensed and two were cited while driving with a suspended license. Four vehicles were impounded. One driver was detained for further evaluation to determine their sobriety influence level…
