Man gets 16 years for manslaughter in motorcyclist’s death

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who was accused of intentionally running over a motorcyclist was sentenced Tuesday to 16 years in prison, according to court records.

Daniel Lee Barton, 43, pleaded no contest in May to vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, hit-and-run causing death and driving someone else’s vehicle without their consent.
