BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — In 2023, Candie Springer gave her unlicensed son, then 15, the keys to her Dodge Charger. He took the muscle car for a joyride with friends and crashed into a tree.
One of his passengers, also 15, suffered serious injuries. He died days later.
