Partygoers said 19-year-old was drinking before fatal crash on Union Ave: docs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Nathon Michael Ramirez drank at a party held at a Bakersfield apartment complex pool before driving several partygoers to a residence on the night of June 10, where he continued to consume alcohol, witnesses told Bakersfield police investigators.

An hour later, the 19-year-old Ramirez took a white BMW without permission and sped away without saying where he was going, witnesses said.

Soon after, Ramirez ran a red light while speeding — some witnesses to the crash estimated he was going more than 100 mph — and slammed into a Dodge Charger, according to police reports that recently became available…
