BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 30-year-old man who admitted to killing his 74-year-old roommate at a group home in Bakersfield will undergo an examination to determine if he’s competent to stand trial.
If found incompetent, Jason Aguilar Garibay will be sent to a state hospital where efforts will be made to restore him to competency.
Garibay is charged with first-degree murder and assault on an elder adult in the death of Domingo Trevino. He’s being held without bail…
