BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Taft Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash between a truck and a motorcycle that happened Sunday.
The driver of the vehicle that fled has been identified as Alejandro Padilla, of the Taft area, according to the police department.
Police describe Padilla as 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 185 pounds. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Kern Street in Taft around 10:43 a.m. for the report of a vehicle and motorcycle crash, according to officials. Upon officer arrival, fire department personnel told police an adult male was pronounced dead at the scene.
