BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol arrested 16 people on suspicion of driving under the influence during its DUI operation on Saturday, according to officials.
On July 26, the CHP Central Division conducted a Rapid Arrest of Intoxicated Drivers operation in Kern County. The operation sought to identify and remove impaired drivers on the road and enhance public safety, according to CHP.
Sixteen people were arrested on suspicion of DUI, officials said. Officers also found an occupied stolen vehicle, leading to a felony arrest, and issued 90 verbal warnings and impounded 13 vehicles.
