Driver in crashes that killed 2 on Baker St had .30% BAC: reports

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The crashes occurred within a minute of each other. The first resulted in the death of a pedestrian, and the second killed the driver of a minivan that burst into flames.

Reginald Moland Jr., who drove the SUV that authorities say hit the pedestrian on Baker Street then sped away and slammed into the minivan, had a blood-alcohol content of 0.30% — nearly four times the legal limit, according to police reports.

Moland is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, hit and run, DUI causing injury and driving on a license suspended or revoked for DUI…
