BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man accused of driving drunk early Sunday when his pickup collided with another vehicle on Fairfax Road has been charged three DUI-related felonies — including vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Not guilty pleas were entered Tuesday afternoon on behalf of 40-year-old Juan Jose Rangel, who made his first court appearance. He’s due back in court Aug. 7 and was ordered held without bail.
Police said Rangel was driving a pickup south in the 7900 block of Fairfax Road when it drifted into the northbound lane, colliding with a silver car. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 12:30 a.m…
