BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 19-year-old man was accused of threatening to kill another man in Ridgecrest while holding a rifle, according to the Ridgecrest Police Department.
On July 29 at around 6:17 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of West Upjohn Avenue for a report of a person who allegedly pointed an AR-15 style rifle at the reporting party and threatened to kill him, according to officials.
Surveillance footage of the area showed a suspect vehicle, police said. The driver was later identified through the FLOCK system as Andrew Nicklas Herrera, 19, and investigators learned Herrera had already fled from Ridgecrest.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office then received a FLOCK alert indicating Herrera’s vehicle entered the Victorville area. Herrera was arrested following a high-risk stop, according to investigators.
