Bakersfield man indicted for explosives, meth manufacturing charges

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A federal grand jury has indicted a 43-year-old Bakersfield man on multiple charges, including being a felon in possession of explosives and ammunition, as well as manufacturing methamphetamine, announced the U.S. Department of Justice.

Court documents reveal that the man, identified as Matthew Henry Jacober, was found with 50 pounds of dynamite and 25 rounds of shotgun shells improperly stored at his residence. Additionally, he was allegedly manufacturing crystal methamphetamine in a remote area of Bakersfield.

Jacober has a prior felony conviction in Kern County Superior Court for making a destructive device without a permit, which prohibits him from possessing explosives and ammunition…
