Bakersfield’s ‘Mr. Dimples’ faces challenges after food truck engine and license issues

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — “Mr. Dimples,” a popular Bakersfield food truck owner known for his significant social media following, is facing new challenges after his truck’s engine blew out last week.

The incident occurred after owner Gilbert “Mr. Dimples” Juarez had recently used a $1,000 surprise gift from the “Jennifer Hudson Show” to fix his truck’s transmission. Following the engine failure, Juarez was pulled over by officers who informed him that his license had expired the previous month. As a result, both his personal truck and food truck were impounded but later released.

In the meantime, Juarez has been operating his business from a borrowed trailer, courtesy of local trailer business “The Pro’s.” He expressed gratitude for the support he has received from his loyal customers.
