Wildfires are burning across California, keeping first responders busy. Some locations are difficult for firefighters to reach. As one firefighter drove through the woods on patrol, his pickup truck fell off the trail, sending him down 200 feet.
California firefighter’s truck plummets 200 feet
A California firefighter from Kern County was on patrol around 6:20 PM when an incident within an incident (IWI) occurred near the 5,370-acre Canyon Fire.
His name hasn’t been released to the public. The man was driving a pickup truck in a remote area of Castaic. He was patrolling for hotspots or flare-ups.
While driving along the ridgeline in rugged conditions, the vehicle lost its footing. It fell off of Romero Canyon Road, falling 200 feet below…
