BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two men are dead after a crash on Highway 99 near South Union Avenue Friday, according to California Highway Patrol.
The driver, a 20-year-old male, was driving southbound along Highway 99 when he hit the metal guardrail going west. The vehicle continued out of control, going south. The other male in the vehicle was ejected onto the southbound shoulder.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene and two female passengers sustained major injuries and were transported to Kern Medical.
