Coroner ID’s 2 men who died in crash on Hwy 99 near Union Ave

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the driver and passenger who died after their vehicle crashed into a guardrail on Highway 99 on Friday.

Alexes Napoleon Perez Rivera, 20, of Bakersfield, was the driver of a vehicle that was traveling southbound on Highway 99 north of Union Avenue at 11:17 p.m., according to coroner’s officials.

Rivera then hit the metal guardrail and the vehicle lost control, according to the California Highway Patrol.
