DUI checkpoint in Bakersfield results in 4 alleged DUI arrests, 6 vehicles impounded

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — During a BakersfIeld police DUI checkpoint and patrol on Friday, four drivers were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, six vehicles were impounded, and two drivers were cited for driver’s license violations.

The checkpoint was held on August 15, 2025, in the 1500 block of L Street from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Officers screened 46 vehicles during the operation. One driver was evaluated and arrested for alleged DUI at the checkpoint.
