BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A review by the entire Board of Parole Hearings has upheld a decision earlier this year to grant parole to a Shafter man convicted of murdering a 2-year-old boy.
The decision affirming the grant of parole to 49-year-old Josue Daniel Palma Herrera was made last week, according to California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
There’s a note on the CDCR website stating Herrera — who is serving 25 years to life — will first become eligible for release in August 2033, at which point he’ll have spent 25 years in custody…
