BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — An inmate was left in serious condition after an altercation at Kern Valley State Prison Monday morning.
Staff at the prison observed two inmates at Kern Valley State Prison striking each other in a yard around 11 a.m., according to officials. The two stopped with verbal orders from staff.
