Woman found loading gun in bullet-damaged vehicle acquitted of weapons charge

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A woman who was found loading a gun in a vehicle that had been “shot up like Swiss cheese” has been found not guilty of a misdemeanor gun charge, according to a release from the Kern County Public Defender’s Office.

A jury last week acquitted Tiffany Estrada of carrying a loaded gun — a charge for which she faced up to a year in jail if convicted, according to the release.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 1, police responded to a ShotSpotter activation that registered 13 rounds fired in the 300 block of 4th Street. They found Estrada in the bullet-damaged vehicle, loading a gun…
