BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man is dead after being struck by two separate vehicles on Union Avenue Monday evening, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to 3300 Union Avenue just after 10 p.m. after a report of a pedestrian struck by a pickup truck while attempting to cross the street outside of a crosswalk. While still lying in the roadway, a second driver struck the man, according to BPD.
