BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK)/KBFX) — A car crashed into two homes on La Mirada Drive in central Bakersfield late last night, marking the third such incident in the neighborhood in recent years.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m., with the vehicle careening into the living room of one home and causing significant damage to both properties.
“There was damage to my lawn, to my wall, our fence, and the car was through my neighbor’s living room,” said one homeowner.
Another resident recounted the moment of impact: “I got off the couch, went into the bedroom to go to sleep, next thing I knew I started hearing stuff hitting stuff.”
