5 drivers arrested during Bakersfield DUI checkpoint, patrols

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A total of five drivers were arrested on suspicion of DUI during a DUI checkpoint and patrols in Bakersfield.

The DUI checkpoint was located in the 10700 block of Brimhall Road on Saturday, according to the Bakersfield Police Department. Officers also conducted DUI patrols in the neighborhood near the checkpoint.

In the checkpoint, a total of 477 vehicles were screened, five drivers were evaluated for DUI, two were arrested on suspicion of DUI, three drivers were cited for driving without a license and five vehicles were impounded for license violations…
