BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A boy who was 15 when he fatally shot a woman at Heritage Park will spend at least three years at the Apex Academy youth facility, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Anthony Lopez was ordered committed to the facility during a hearing Tuesday in juvenile court. Due to his age, he couldn’t be charged as an adult.

At a previous hearing, Lopez admitted to all counts against him in the shooting death of Leana Margarita Perez, 23. He was charged with involuntary manslaughter and use of a gun.
