Man, 19, arrested in connection with shooting outside Kern County Fairgrounds

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man was arrested for allegedly shooting a 19-year-old near Kern County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Thomas Anderson, also 19, allegedly met the victim in the 1100 block of Terrace Way and shot the victim. The victim then fled in a car to the 700 block of South P Street where bystanders saw him and called for help, according to investigators.

Bakersfield officers arrived just after 10 p.m. and found the victim suffering gunshot wounds, police said. The victim was transported to the hospital where he remains in stable condition.
