Bakersfield man arrested for alleged parole violation after discovery of firearms at home

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man on active California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation parole was arrested on Wednesday after probation officers allegedly found firearms and ammunition at his home, according to the Kern County Probation Department.

On Sept. 24, officers with the department’s Adult Probation Services Division conducted a home call in the 2000 block of Bradley Avenue, according to officials.

During a search, officers found two firearms and several rounds of ammunition, officials said.

The man was arrested for charges related to possessing a firearm as a felon, possessing ammunition as a prohibited person, carrying a loaded firearm, participating in a street gang and violating parole, booking records show…
