1 dead after truck runs stop sign, CHP searches for driver

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol is searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left one person dead in south Bakersfield.

The crash was reported in the area of South H Street and Houghton Road around 5:18 a.m., according to CHP. The traffic in the area is regulated by posted stop signs.
